The quiet reactions on Wall Street overnight and the poor Nikkei start (down 0.5% now) dampen Singapore equities sentiments today morning.
Singapore share opens below its support level @ 3003.51 and dive towards 2980 levels and made a low of 2986.24 and recovers some points but closed below 3k mark @ 2995.90 with loss of 15.65 points down by 0.52%. In the broader market, 1.29 billion shares changed hands. Losers outnumbered gainers 277 to 116.
Singapore share prices ended 0.52% lower on Wednesday amid disappointing US manufacturing data overnight. The second monthly contraction in Singapore's own manufacturing PMI, released Tuesday, also weighed on local shares.
